"A Shining Example of What the NHS is Capable of"

About: Royal Berkshire Hospital

My mother sadly recently died in the Acute Stroke Unit of the Royal Berks Hospital after being in their care for 10 days. I cannot find the words to adequately describe the excellent care that both my mother and our family received throughout. My mum's needs were met at all times with the utmost respect and her dignity maintained throughout. The staff at all levels on this unit work together cohesively to ensure that the high standard of care given is seamless and treat all family members with the greatest compassion and respect. All together a shining example of what the NHS is capable of providing with the right people in place with a positive attitude.

Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time. Thank you so much for taking the time to write this thoughtful review for the Acute Stroke team. The matron for the area will ensure your comments are shared with them.
