Yesterday a much loved Mum..Grandma and mother in Law passed away after receiving nothing but the very best of care...firstly from the 4 paramedics who attended within 5 mins of our call to say she had collapsed and was unconcious...they battled to save her for an hour giving us regular updates and informing us she was fighting her hardest to stay with us and they were certainly fighting for her...they were excellant and certainly couldnt have done any more. when they managed to get her stable they rushed her to Blackburn Royal Infirmary A&E. When the family all arrived there we were treated with the utmost respect and kindness. Tea was brought into the Relatives room..Paramedics in the corridoor outside supplied tissues and advice...while the Resus team fought to save her. The doctor who had to deliver the news that they had tried everything and that nothing more could really be done...even though if the family wished they would carry on trying...was kind..courteous and very respectful. The whole A&E team from the receptionist...nurses...doctor and paramedics should be extremley proud of the service they provided yesterday. Everything that could have been done for her was done. Thank you very much from the Family of the late Margaret
"Thank You"
