After two serious angina attacks I was admitted to Firth 7 ward at the Northern General Hospital. This was my first ever time in hospital, so I expected, as per media stories the worst, but on the contrary, I was amazed at the efficiency and professionalism of all staff, from the Doctors down to the cleaners.
I was there on Christmas day and was given a present from all nurses to all patients, this really humbled me as I felt I should be giving them something for the dedicated service I was given.
Hospitals now hold no fear for me.
