"Poor treatment and long long time wasted"

About: Medway Maritime Hospital

I had been coughing up blood for a week. The Medway Respitory Team told me to contact my GP as an urgent case.

GP was ill told to go to A @ E.

Arrived A @ E at 1100 Weds 27/1/16.Checked in, nurse sat looking at me for 1 hour.

Given stats test.

In this hour several people were passed straight to Medoc.

I was then sent to Medoc at 12.15.

I was told the earliest appointment for me was 1700!

I eventually was seen by a Dr at 18.15.

Given a letter to attend the absolutory ward on Friday 2 days later. Arrived at this ward at 10.10. Stats taken shortly afterwards.

Saw a couple of Drs throughout the day.

Told I needed a CT scan.

Given tablets and told to return on Monday Feb 1 for the scan.

Duly arrived on the Monday at 10.10 name was on the list presumably for my scan.

Waited until 12.15 seen by another Dr, who told me that scan had not been booked because the first doctor said we had misinterrupted what they had said on the previous Friday.

We did not misunderstand what they clearly said.

So another 3 hours wasted!

Between the previous Weds and Mon 1/2/16 I have spent 19 fruitless hours without result.

It has cost me in taxis and car parking £43 plus.

Suddenly I am now booked in for the scan this Thurs 4/2/16.

I am extremely worried that the Drs have taken me off of rivaoxaban which I have been told is vital to prevent me having a heart attack.

This whole experience has been exceptionally stressful to us both.

This treatment should not happen.

Nor should Drs say one thing one day then something different another day about what was said to people like me.

To put this for your Drs I am not stupid, I have just retired from the Bench as a JP, i was a Judges Clerk for 18 years.

Both of these posts need high intelligence and clarity when listening to other people conversation or evidence. I am very seriously ill your hospital in the past has been great but not on these occasions.
