"My experience of a nurse Suzanne on ward 21 was excellent!!"

About: Good Hope Hospital / General medicine

(as a relative),

I visited my 87 year old mom and was concerned about her condition. I asked the nurse attending to her to explain why she was "not herself".

The nurse offered to fetch someone who was better equipped to answer my questions and returned with a nurse wearing a light blue uniform who introduced herself as Suzanne.

Suzanne listened carefully to my concerns and made me feel at ease. Her behaviour towards mom was compassionate. caring, considerate and respectful. Leaving a vulnerable member of your family in the care of strangers is very upsetting and I wanted to reassure others that there are nurses like Suzanne who manage to combine a caring nature with their skills and knowledge to be great nurses.

Ward 21 Frailty Unit is a new development, and we are making great strides.

Please make sure you continue to tell the good stories of Good Hope to your friends and family.
