"Good outpatient experience"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Cardiology

(as the patient),

I attended an outpatient appointment today at Hairmyers Cardiology clinic, to get a check up following my pacemaker operation in January. The nurse had a gentle and reassuring manner, and was helpful in every way - both the medical and personal (clotting etc). She was very clear about the adjustments to the pacemaker - spoke clearly and kindly.

Dear Maggie Smith

Thank you for taking time to feedback your positive experience within the cardiology OP department at Hairmyres Hospital.

I hope you are recovering well following your pacemaker operation in January. I am pleased that the nurse had a reassuring manner and explained everything clearly. We strive to achieve safe, effective, person centred care at all times and it is reassuring to hear that this is being achieved.

I will ensure your positive comments are feedback to the staff involved.

Kind Regards

Anne Leitch
