"Amazing hospital!"

My son has been a patient in the urology department at GOSH since birth nearly seven years ago. He's had various operations including a bladder reconstruction 2 years ago which involved a 10 day stay on Squirrel Ward. I can't praise the staff enough. My sons consultant is very professional and friendly guy. All the nurses and staff treat my son with compassion and respect, which is so important as he has ASD, so even having observations carried out can be so difficult for him. The play specialist on Squirrel ward is fantastic at distraction. We've just returned from an overnight stay on Island Day Unit where the staff were equally as caring and compassionate. Yes, sometimes you do have to wait a while for an appointment, but I'm sure cases are in order of urgency and in my opinion is worth the wait to get treated at the fabulous hospital.
