"Treatment & care in A & E"

About: Royal Blackburn Hospital

Taken into A & E on Friday 29/1/16 the dept looked as though it was under seige. All cubicles occupied the corridors filled with patients on trollies and staff working to bursting point.

I had fallen at home, after blacking out, and in the process of my faint I caught my head on the kitchen work ,called 999 and the most wonderful Paramedics arrived taken into Blackburn. The way the staff handled the volume of patients passing through was amazing. All staff smiling and calm the care was outstanding. The highlight was the tea trolley controlled by two lovely people. Despite the volume of patients I was on my way home in 4 hrs. Sadly because I had concussion I had to return to the dept on Moday 1/2/16 thing were much quieter as it was early morning, again the same standard of care from a dedicated department & the Doctor was so understanding and listened carefully also had a good sense of humour. My compliment to all A & E staff & Paramedics Thank you.
