"Staff were polite, courteous and helpful"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Emergency Department

(as a relative),

I attended the A&E department today with my father with a broken wrist. The department was busy. There was 4 ambulances at the front door and the waiting room was full. All the nursing staff were polite, courteous and helpful. He was seen by Margaret and the consultant Dr Vardy who were very kind, sympathetic and professional. At x Ray he was also seen and dealt with very quickly and again everyone was very professional.

On passing through the department from minor injuries to x ray, all the staff were very busy dealing with more acute patients. The nurse at Triage Karan was extremely helpful although she had a queue of patients. Thank you for all your help.

Dear Kme

Thank you very much for getting in touch and for your comments in relation to the care your father received whilst having to attend the Emergency Department here at Wishaw General Hospital. I am pleased that you felt that the staff were very supportive to the needs of your father, even at such a busy time within the department. I indeed hope that your father has a quick recovery from his wrist injury.

It is always nice to get positive feedback and I will ensure this will be shared with the staff and in particular, to those you have personally mentioned.

Thank you once again and Best Wishes

Faith
