"Experience of Endoscopy"

About: Chase Farm Hospital

I had an endoscopy at Chase farm hospital a few days ago and I was terrified of the prospect of something down my throat and the fear of not being able to breathe. The nurses and doctor were very welcoming and reassuring and explained everything to me. I opted for sedation and asked if I could have the throat spray as well to which the doctor said yes. I neednt have worried as as soon as by the time I had the IV sedation, they put a plastic mouthguard in and I fell asleep and was not aware of the procedure in the slightest . I woke up being wheeled to a little room, relieved it was over and not at all worried if I had to do it again. Thanks to all the staff who made it easier.
