"Policies on maternity"

About: Queen's Hospital, Burton Upon Trent

My daughter wanted me with her in labour.

She is in hospital now in pain on her own as nobody is allowed to stay, not a rule they advertise.

Her partner is allowed in at 8 am.

I cannot go in till she's on the delivery suite fully dilated.

Living in Tamworth I will be lucky to get there in time, will not be able to support her and probably miss the birth of my first grandchild.

Both myself and her partner have had to drive tired back and forth due to this policy.

Had three children at burton and feel guilty I recommended it to her.

Last time I recommend it to anyone.
