What I liked
I attended for a cystoscopy in Dec 09 and the professionalism and consideration of the staff made this procedure a lot less embarrassing than I had anticipated
What could be improved
My care was excellent
Anything else?
After the procedure I was given a cup of tea and asked to wait for a prescription. This was fine until a patient who had probably had a colonoscopy was wheeled into the room which also had other patients, male and female, waiting there. this poor patient high up on a trolley was then constantly apologising for audibly breaking wind while surrounded by strangers. I think this compromised the dignity of the patient and embarrassed the others waiting in the area. Surely patients who have had endoscopic procedures involving inflating the large bowel could be given more privacy to recover in?
