"Awful experience with my third child birth"

What initially was a normal labour turned into a nightmare for me. Despite the fact that I repeatedly told the staff I was progressing quickly I wasn't moved to delivery room soon enough. I was moved to different rooms three times, badly contracting in the corridors and found myself pushing as soon as we reached the final room. Obviously noone had looked into my notes and birth plan and I found a midwife holding some papers/consent forms and asking me questions when I was pushing. My husband had to point out that I was in the middle of something.

I had a second degree tear that wasn't stiched up because the midwife thought it was a minor tear.

I was continuously passing the blood clots for two hours after delivery.

My midwife was "hoping"it would eventually stop. I was sent to the shower where I have lost my consciousness. After that I had to be stiched up, blood clots "scooped out" of me, put on a oxytocin drip for one or two hours and spend a night and the following day at the hospital.

I have heard nothing but a moan and insensitive comments from the midwife although they were partly or fully responsible for the situation. To another midwife they said something like "I'm new and I didn't know " as if it justifies what happened. I wanted to leave the hospital as soon as possible but because of the complications had to stay. Instead of having a rest next day I had to listen to Jeremy Kyle show that someone was watching in a ward. I think TVs in maternity unit is a rediculous idea unless they are in a private room for one person. Post delivery suites should be calm and serene for the sake of babies and mothers. I was also asked the most insensitive question I could be asked at the time: "Have you started your pelvic floor exercises yet?". How many women would even want to discuss this the day after delivery? I realise the importance of pelvic floor exercises and it's reasonable to provide this information or briefly mention it, but putting women into position where they have to justify themselves on this matter is unacceptable.

I have had better experiences with my previous deliveries however healthcare shouldn't be a lucky dip where one time you have good experience and another you don't.
