I gave birth to my son in April 2015 in the midwife birth centre, all was fine and I was in the birth pool about to give birth when it all went wrong and we nearly lost him. If it wasnt for the quick thinking and actions of the midwife he wouldn't be with us today and thankfully he is now happy and healthy. We can not fault the care we were given both on MBC and in the neonatal unit where we spent 3 long weeks. It's also made us realise how lucky we are to have the facilities we have at Royal Stoke on our doorstep meaning we didn't have to be transferred to another hospital. I can't thank the midwife, student and the doctors who saved him enough, very often we hear the bad bits about hospitals and people forget to write about the good. I hope this can be passed on to MBC and the midwife involved I think they may have been traumatised from that day so I think they will know exactly who I'm talking about!
"Thank you"
