I went to clinic one today. I got treated well by the professor i saw however I'd like to point out the following that disappointed me...1...I got called by my first name by the hca...I never use Samantha and I wasn't asked what I would like to be called 2...I didn't see the "hello my name is....." in action once 3. I wasn't checked correctly under the 6 point I'd check for my xray. .( irmer requirement)..and what was going to happen was not explained to me at all 4. I overheard a rather unprofessional conversation between nursing staff in clinic exclaiming about how they were all going home at 5 , "sod the patients and the managers can look after them".....now as a radiographer myself I felt that the service in terms of explanation and care , as well as following of rules really let down the hospital. I used to work at Addenbrookes myself so I know how good it can be...come on staff please let people know who you are, do the right checks and please ask the patient what they would like to be called, and please even if you've had a hard day and want to go home early please don't have those types of conversations where a patient can hear them...its really unprofessional and gives an impression that you don't care and I know that you do...or I hope you do
"Clinic visit today...staff need to tighten up..."
