"Swift excellent care during strike"

About: Royal Sussex County Hospital

My husband had a bicycle accident slipping in black ice and being knocked unconscious. I met him with the paramedic who recommended he attend A&E as he was didn't remember the accident and was hazy about the date. By the time I'd dropped the children off and arrived at A&E, he had been assessed and discharged with advice. He was really pleased with the swift service and care he received. This was all on the day of the junior doctors strike, if this is the excellent service we received when staff were striking I can only imagine how great it would be on a normal day.

Thank you so much for taking the time to feedback about your husband's experience in A&E. I am delighted to hear that it was so positive and that the junior doctor's strike did not impact on the quality of care that he recieved. I will pass this onto the team involved in his care and I know that they will really appreciate your kind words.

I hope that he has fully recovered.

Best wishes
