Prior to my visit to the Royal Stoke Hospital, as an overnight patient, I had read lots of reviews that were very negative, so I was apprehensive about my visit.
I would like to thank all the staff that were involved in taking care of me over the 29 hours or so I spent at the hospital.
I was admitted to Ward 105 on 8th January 2016 for ENT surgery and found all the staff very helpful, although rushed off their feet.
My ENT Consultant & other doctor came to see me to discuss my surgery and what to expect afterwards.
The Senior Anaesthetist and team came next and we very thorough checking medical history and allergies.
After surgery I spent a few hours in recovery, no beds, but it was not an unpleasant experience and my assigned nurse was excellent, feeding me a steady stream of tea, water and toast.
Finally I would like to thank the staff on Ward 102 for taking very good care of me overnight, they made my stay a pleasant one.
So thank you all for the excellent service you provided under extreme circumstances of staff shortages.
Outstanding.
Please pass on appreciation to all relevant parties. Many thanks. Regards Christine.
