I am sorry that you had a poor experience when you attended A&E in October.

I am pleased to let you know that rebuilding of a new A&E department started on 8 November 2015, and until this is completed in 2017, the Urgent Care Centre and our Emergency department have been moved to new, temporary locations. This has allowed us to change the triage arrangements, so that people attending A&E are now initially assessed by our trained Emergency department nurses, who will then direct patients to either the Urgent Care Centre, run by Virgin Care, or to our Emergency Department. Both the Urgent Care Centre and our Emergency department have bright new cubicles with separate waiting areas and children have their own department.

I hope that, should you have the misfortune to need to attend A&E in the future, your experience will be significantly better.
