"Blood Test"

About: Wexham Park Hospital

Having previously visited on several occasions I have never had any concerns until now.

On having a blood test the area of the arm was not cleaned.

On removal of the needle instead of being given a cotton pad too hold over the puncture area, the individual placed the pad under the tourniquet.

This process was not clean and I would think this has implications on health and safety.

The whole process was actioned with minimal communication.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback.

I'm concerned to read your review and would welcome the opportunity to investigate what happened and feedback to the department involved.

In order for us to do this I would be grateful if you could contact our PALS team on palswexhampark@fhft.nhs.uk with your details so we can look into this?

I really hoep you make contact in order to help us improve for the future.

Kind Regards

Claire Marshall
