"they would rather treat private patients"

i was referred to this hospital on the NHS by my GP as it was quicker than waiting to see my local NHS hospital.

the consultant i saw was very friendly and offered excellent care but when waiting to investigations staff in radiology and receptions openly comment that NHS patients often DNA and waste appointments and the wait for x-rays is prolonged as was told they have private patients they need to fit in first before can be offered an NHS appointment.

If they don't like treating NHS patients they shouldn't offer an NHS Service and stick to private only.
