I was admitted via the SEAL unit for a pre-planned robotic radical prostatectomy on 11/01/16. I was called through fairly quickly and seen by various nurses/anaesthetists/surgeons, who were all very good at allaying any fears I may have had. I went into the anaesthetic room, was treated extremely well, and woke up in recovery some hours later. When I had recovered sufficiently, I was transferred to ward 20, where the staff could not have been better. I had a restless night, but the night staff looked after me very well.I was discharged the following day after seeing my surgeon, and getting my medication to take home. Staff arranged for Community nurses to attend me, and for other medical supplies to be delivered to my home address.
I found the food very good, and I know some people expect hotel service, but I received enough food of a good enough quality to suit me. Thank you to all the theatre staff, nursing grades, catering and ancillary staff. You are super and deserve to be commended for your work. Thank you again.
