"completely ignored by neurology clinic nurses"
About: Royal Hallamshire Hospital / Neurology Royal Hallamshire Hospital Neurology S10 2JF
I attended an outpatient clinic on M ward and took a seat next to the table where the nurses have the notes. I sat there for 40 mins and was the only patient waiting for much of that time. The Sister stood by the table throughout my wait. They never looked at me once, let alone spoke to me. They chatted (not about anything work related) for the entire time with another nurse for some of the time, and someone in a pale green uniform, who also came and sat down for 20 minutes. I felt it was very unprofessional and showed no interest in the patients. Travelling from a distance to a strange hospital is quite a hard thing to do, especially on your own and worried about your condition. Some acknowledgement and interaction would have been appreciated. Thankfully, the consultant was superb.
