I was sent to the surgical assessment unit by my GP with stomach pains where I received a quick diagnosis and a catheter relieved my painful symptoms.. I then was moved to Hopkins ward when again I received excellent care from the nurses and urology doctors especially one in particular, in whom I have great confidence.
I later returned to Hopkins Ward and had a TURP and was discharged from the next day minus the catheter..
Unfortunately I contracted an infection and collapsed a few days after and had to return to A&E after the paramedics cared for me very competently at home. I was looked after two consultants and an excellent nursing team and felt much better and safe being looked after by them and was again admitted to Hopkins.
I would also like to say that whilst I was an inpatient at the RBH I enjoyed the food, although I was a war baby and eat anything!
Thanks again RBH and keep up the excellent work.
"Excellent care"
