Through no fault of the hospital I was referred to Ashford hospital in error as I had had a TIA (mini stroke).
Various members of Ashford hospital were helpful in directing me to Cedar ward at St. Peters
On arrival at Cedar ward I was seen by the receptionist who phoned my doctors surgery and let them know that TIA patients should be directed to this ward.
The receptionist had the referral notes sent to them and managed to get me seen by medical staff almost immediately.
All staff that I had contact with were efficient, dedicated, professional and friendly in their dealings with me and seemed surprised at my gratitude, according to them “they were only doing their job”
Special thanks to the receptionist and three other members of staff.
If I had been a private patient I could not have had better treatment or care.
"Excellent carre"
