"positive experience for giving birth to 1st child"

About: Whiston Hospital

Parking was brilliant. Parked right outside the doors which was good as I was 8cms when I arrived and in a lot of pain. Had to wait a bit to be seen which could have been quicker as I was experiencing strong pains but once seen was sent straight to a delivery suite and the midwife who took care of me was brilliant. I felt very comfortable in their hands and well looked after. I got lots of help and advice regarding breast feeding and didn't feel pushed into anything. I made my own decision about breast feeding and got the help I needed. I was in for a few days and all the midwives I saw were brilliant. I had my own room and it was kept clean.
