"Broken Wrist - Fantastic care"

About: Weston General Hospital

After a heavy fall I went to A&E, where due to an empty waiting room, I was seen almost immediately. I had an X-Ray and manipulation of the joint and plaster cast all within 2 hours. A follow up appointment was made a week later.

The following appointment was with the Orthopedic department who after analysis of the X-Ray decided to carry out a fast track CT scan. Another appointment was made to discuss the results, which revealed about 7 breakages. All options, including surgery was made to me, which resulted in me making the decision not to have surgery.

I would like to make a big thank you to the Doctor who was very professional and spent time to show me all the X-Rays and CT Scans, that enabled me to decide the best option.

Well done the NHS, you delivered when I needed it.

Hello,

Many thanks for your comments - we're very pleased to hear you were happy with your care with us following what sounds like a nasty accident! We hope you continue to make a good recovery, and we will of course, pass on your comments to the departments involved.
