"pain clinic apointments"

About: Seacroft Hospital

My last appointment at the pain clinic was on Wed 23rd September 2015, when I saw the duty Dr and reported that the previous facet joint injections had not provided the pain relief that was expected. I was told that they would carry out the procedure once again, I asked when would that be as the pain was worse than before, I was told that the receptionist would give me a date, I write this on 27th January 2016 after calling the pain clinic reception for an appointment date, only to be told that they are running behind due to one consultant being on leave, and the other taking retirement from the nhs to carry out private work, and has a result they cannot meet the governments 18 week guide line, I was told that I couldn't be given an appointment date, but but would be sent one in due course, snd in the meantime I should go to my GP for pain tablets.

This is not a joke this is the system that we have all contributed to for our entire working life

Regards Ken Rowark
