"Broken toe?"

About: John Coupland Community Hospital

I took my Husband to John Coupland Hospital last night (26/1/16) after he had dropped a fitness machine on his foot! We were seen very quickly by a nurse who was extremely careful but thoroughly professional in their examination of his toe. They also listened to him and treated him with respect, not just an O.A.P to get out as soon as possible. We came back this morning for an X-ray (27/1/16), which again was very quick. We then saw another nurse who explained what he had done to his toe (not broken thankfully), but to come back with any problems at anytime.

The whole department is run wonderfully, with everyone receptionists, radiologists and nursing staff so helpful. Thank You.

As the Matron for the hospital I am extremely pleased to hear of your positive experience. The staff aim to see, treat and discharge in a safe and timely manner and provide information to ensure patients, families and carers understand the diagnosis and any associated advice. Thankyou for taking the time to share your experience with us and I will ensure the staff are informed. I wish your husband all the very best for a prompt recovery.
