Excellent start, ward clerk knew exactly who I was and how complex my needs were. This meant they found me a bed with room for maneuvering my wheelchair.
Nurses were extremely helpful, kind and kept me calm. I took part in a research study which diagnosed me with a new condition too. This was very helpful
The operation went amazingly well and I was reassured constantly as I was panicking. They made sure my migraine glasses were removed after I fell asleep and returned before I awoke. They managed my pain very well.
First downside, a hca removed my cannula even though I said no, because I was told I was on iv paracetamol. One of the nurses is looking into it.
So far I have been allowed to control my own pain relief to keep pain at bay. However there's now been a change in nurse staff so let's see how things go.
New nurse ugo also allowes me to control my own medicine times which means I am in full control of my pain. I'm still in alot of pain but I am aware that I can't be given much in the way of pain relief.
Final day I was seen by a different nurse, and one I'd seen before and the treatment was once again fantastic. I was given extra pain relief as I was near crying in pain. They made sure I was okay and they have made me feel human. And on the same level as them.
I will 100% return to this hospital if needed in the future xx
Thank-you xx
"brilliant staff, fantastic care gyn ward 2"
