About: Arrowe Park Hospital

Today I visited the women's centre in Arrowe Park , not uncommon for myself , after ongoing problems with cervical cancer and regular appointments requires , however I think it is an absolute disgrace that the hospital has newly pregnant ladies , the maternity ward and entrance in the same waiting room as the ladies since as myself that are unable to have a child and other fertility challenged women , I felt I had to stand outside the unit for being surrounded by pregnant girls all exited which is perfectly natural , but why on earth can you not seperate the waiting room !!!! So upsetting that you can have a person having fertility treatment or issues sat next to a pregnant person and then new born babies leaving with proud parents ! The reception staff couldn't have been nicer as aware it's not in there control at all , please have a little compassion and rethink how you work this waiting room , even a simple cordon and seperate reception area would massively help .Inwould like to discuss this further please if someone can contact myself

We are very sorry to hear about the experience you had in the Gynaecology clinic waiting area.

We have shared your comments with the senior management team for our Women's Services. They have advised that we are currently investigating how we can re-design the waiting area within the financial constraints of the NHS so that we can avoid the distressing experience you have described.

If you would like to discuss this further, please ring the Patient Relations team on 0151 604 7660, email wih-tr.Patientrelations@nhs.net or in writing to Patient Relations team, Arrowe Park Hospital, Arrowe Park Road, Upton, Wirral, CH49 5PE. The Patient Relations team can discuss the best way that we can try to address your concerns.
