"Very flexible haematology staff"

About: Stepping Hill Hospital

My wife had an appointment for routine blood test/see a consultant on 26 January 2016. She hurt her foot over the weekend and had to get an X-ray done on 25 January 2016. At around 11:30 am, I went to haematology department and asked if the blood test could be arranged on the 25th to save having to come again the following day. The receptionist referred to a hematologist , who agreed to the request and waited there till 1 pm, even though it was past their lunch time. They took the sample and gave me the results over the phone at about 3 pm. And also said they would book another appointment in 8 weeks time.

This clearly demonstrates that staff are committed to ensure "good patient and family experience" in addition to excellent care.
