"Colonoscopy experience in Endoscopy Department"

I recently had a colonoscopy and was disappointed with the care I received. As a recently retired nurse with 40 years experience of working in the NHS I feel my opinion is valid. The staff were professional and polite but they displayed little empathy and their communication poor. I experienced severe pain during the procedure, the pain management was inadequate. This was never discussed post procedure. I feel the staff within the department need to focus more on the patient as an individual and give more holistic care
