Poor facilities , almost non existent . There were 4 toilets but only 1 flushed and only 1 shower.
I was admitted with a stomach problem linked to the painkillers I'd been given for my broken arm. The previous week I'd been taken to
A and E at Northwick Park after the accident which led to my broken arm. I was due to attend the fracture clinic on January 18th at Northwick Park. However my husband obviously had to cancel this appointment. We asked the doctors if they could treat my arm whilst here. We were told which treatments
I'd receive , one of them being a visit from the orthopaedic team. However , this did not happen. The doctors had said they'd send for the X-rays from Northwick Park. We waited a few days and checked with the doctors to see if they'd arrived yet. They hadn't. My husband then rang the X-ray department at Northwick Park and was told that no one had requested them and that if they had they could have been there within the hour ! We are highly disappointed that none of the professionals had chased up the X-rays , or as it appears even requested them or seen it appropriate or necessary to treat my arm in any way.
During my week stay however,
I did meet some delightful , hard working nurses.
