Firstly I would like to thank the staff in critical care for showing immense support to my mum & I. My dad was admitted on Christmas Eve, and we've endured a 6 week roller coaster. Throughout it all, we have felt that we've developed positive relationships with most of the staff & this has allowed us to have an additional comfort during this difficult time. A certain senior member of staff made us feel extremely uncomfortable by the way in which they communicated with us at one point, however all other staff showed that they do not follow that example and showed us extreme compassion at this emotional time.
In addition, the consultant has been fantastic. Not only did they give my Dad a fighting chance, they also communicated directly with my mum & I, and also took the time to contact us at home to talk to us. We will be eternally grateful for what they did.
Unfortunately my Dad lost his fight yesterday, and again I would like to thank the staff that dealt with us, that showed us compassion in the ordeal we faced. It was an awful 6 weeks, however your support really did help us.
Thankyou once again.
