my daughter had an MRI on her heart at North Tyneside Hospital. Headphones were placed over her ears but no music was played, what she did hear was her heart being discussed, the staff had left the mic open! When being drawn into the scan, loose tubes were tightened around her neck causing her to fear she was being strangulated.
3 times during the test a Doctor was called into the room, twice they had a mobile phone to their ear on the way in and on the way out. They may be able to multi task but I want their 100% attention on my daughter scan!
The promised 40 mins scan ended up being 1 hour 40 mins..
When we arrived home she still had the pads attached to her chest, too much trouble for the staff to remove?
She's a teenager who was anxious going into the scan and a quivering wreck when she came out.
She's now terrified (from what she heard) and has hardly slept as she waits for her results.
The nurse who did the pre scan tests was exceptional. Professional and very reassuring. They're an asset to the company.
