My husband was taken very ill at home with breathing difficulty on calling 999 from that moment when two cars and an ambulance arrived with four paramedics he was taken to A and E they tried for four hours with numerous doctors and nurses to try and stabilise his condition I was with him all of the time and they kept me informed and asked questions so they could give him the treatment he needed. By the time four hours had passed it was clear he needed to go on a ventilator I was informed by the doctor why and they answered all my questions . He was in critical care for over a week and he received the best care anyone could have. one to one nursing they keep you informed all the time, talk to the patient, look after them with the best equipment and after taking a sample from his lung they found out he had a life threatening case of pneumonia and was able to treat him with the correct drugs. After a few weeks on the ward he has made a full recovery.I think we are very lucky to have such a wonderful hospital in Ipswich and the emergency service was excellent thank all of you from the Paramedics,Staff in A&E,Critical Care and Grundisburgh Ward.
