"Fabulous Maternity Care"

We wanted to say a massive thank you to Barbara for her fabulous care and support during the water birth of our baby girl. Barbara is an amazing midwife, having now safely delivered both of my girls (in July 2011 and Jan 2016). I will be forever grateful for her help, support, professionalism, kindness and understanding. Barbara supported me in every way possible through a very slow to start labour, ensuring she was there throughout and doing everything she could to assist me.

Having been a midwife of considerable experience, she is fantastically reassuring and calming and always helped me feel completely at ease throughout. We cannot thank her enough for all of the help she gave us ensuring our baby girl was safely born into the world. The care she gave me was amazing and could not have been better.

The MLU is an amazing facility at New Cross and all of the staff and their care is fantastic. The birthing suite was fabulous and my water birth was an amazing experience. I cannot rate Barbara and the MLU team highly enough, I would recommend this unit without hesitation. New Cross should be very proud of Barbara and all of the team on the MLU facility.
