(as the patient),

It was late at night when I realised I had no pain medications. I had just moved into a new flat that day and could not find my medication. I was in a lot of pain and getting worse. I rang 999 and was redirected to 111. I told them what had happened and they took my details. I was told someone would call me and they did. I needed to get my pain medication delivered. I was told it could take hours. A doctor came out and brought a substitute medication as my usual one was not available. I was kept informed of what was happening and the doctor arrived in about an hour.

The medication worked and I could get my sleep after a very stressful day.

The people at 111 were polite and helpful. I am very grateful for this urgent help and would like to say thank you.
