"Well done to all involved"

About: Airedale General Hospital / Accident and emergency Airedale General Hospital / General medicine NHS 111 Skipton General Hospital / General surgery Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust / Emergency ambulance

(as the patient),

Following my umbilical hernia operation in Dec last year, this morning I was in significant distress due to severe constipation. I have no motions for 6/7 days, extended stomach, sweating with pain. I rang 111 service. I then visited Doctor at Skipton Hospital, then returned home. The District Nurse arrived at 13-00am, gave depositary, no bowel moment. An ambulance arrived at 3-45am, in Airedale Hospital at 4-15am.

Doctor gave full examination, medication to use, in the meantime had high bowel movement, arrived home at Gargrave at 6-15, much more comfortable.

Thank you to all the team, the service was superb, well done to all involved.
