I was very disappointed in the 'care' I recently received from Somerset Partnership NHS Mental Health Teams. I was told I had a Personality Disorder and told that usually they dont treat people with this condition as their treatment makes people worse, so from experience they are best left to 'get on with it'. Since this, I have been in general hospital numerous times and almost died on two occasions, still to be told that my condition cannot have any input from Mental Health Services. When I call the Crisis teams I am told they wont help and if I felt suicidal to call the police or ambulance for help but not to call them. They put the phone down on me for asking for help to get better. They boast they are compassionate, effective, caring and that everyone counts but not if you suffer with Mental Health problems concerning a Personality Disorder. am disgusted they call themselves nurses and in Somerset they let the reputation of the NHS down.
