"'Lost' results"

About: Tameside General Hospital / General medicine

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

This story has been posted by Healthwatch Tameside on behalf of a member of the public who wanted to remain anonymous. We do not have their contact details.

This lady is a young mother who has very high blood pressure. She was referred to Tameside Hospital for further tests in September. The results have been ‘lost’. She was told it could be a kidney tumour causing the hypertension, but at the time of speaking to the Healthwatch Champion, had not had any further appointments or information. She was extremely anxious and had no idea what was happening.

The lady was provided with the Healthwatch Tameside telephone number, but she has not yet called.
