A few days ago I phoned Arrol Park for a podiatry appointment to be told there was an appointment letter in the post. I’m not sure if the person I spoke to would have been able to see when the appointment was for, this information was not given to me if they were able to see it.
Today, having returned home at around 12: 00 noon after a shopping trip I found the appointment letter had been delivered. The appointment was for today at 11: 15 – no way of getting to this appointment!
I called Arrol Park and have been trying to get through to them for the past 15 minutes to no avail. I’m concerned that I will have to start all over again as this is what happened in the past when I failed to attend for an appointment for physiotherapy. At that time I was recovering from a broken neck and was too unwell to think straight and let them know I would not be able to attend. On this occasion the matter was out of my control, but remain concerned.
In 86 years I have not failed to keep my appointments other than on the occasion above when I was barred and had to start all over again. I think it is one thing for persistent non-attendees being barred but if they looked and saw my attendance record they would know that I keep my appointments – are they not able to exercise some discretion?
"poor communication"
