I attended the gynaecology clinic at Newark Hospital. When I arrived I was greeted by a pleasant receptionist, who showed me my details on my notes front sheet and asked me if they were correct. I agreed that they were. I was impressed that she did not read them out with other ladies being in the waiting area. I was then asked by the HCSW to follow her so that I could have my observations taken and recorded. This lady was also very pleasant. Sorry can't remember their names. I was then asked to take a seat. The HCSW kept all the patients informed as to the running of the list. It was running late, but I took a book to read so I was not bothered too much. It meant that every patient was given the time needed for the consultation and not rushed. When it was my turn I was greeted by a friendly staff nurse called Jade (I remember her name as my daughter is called Jade) and Dr Sonja Rees, who introduced herself to me. She was very professional and I felt in good hands.
The whole experience was a good one. Everyone was pleasant, professional and I was treated with the utmost dignity and respect at each stage. I would be happy to attend the Newark Hospital again.
