"When I was pregnant this year ..."

About: Luton & Dunstable Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

When I was pregnant this year with my tiwns it was my first experince of being getting in touch with a hospital as a patient. My twins were monochroniac this measn they were sharing the same cord and were at risk of twin twin transfusion syndrome. I was scaned every two weeks coz of this risk. It helped me kept my mind at peace re. my babies health.Despite of two weekly checks I was always welcomes at the hospital incase if I am worried about any thing, and it happend on a couple of occasions when I was not able to feel any momvemts of babies and ended up in gyne ward. Staff there never dismissed my concerns and always told me its normal to be worried.I later had C section at the hospital. One of my twin was born low weight and had to be kept in neonatal unit for 10 days. the care he recieved during those days was excellent. I was down with stitches and had another twin to keep me occupied i was not able to gve frequent visist to my other little one.later when I was discharged back home without one of the twin it was heartbreaking. But i knew i was leaving my baby in loving hands and it wasnt proved wrong by the nursing and medical team at neonatal unit.in coming days i had another experince when I had to call for ambulance for one of my twin as he was coughing so much and i was unable to help his breathing. He was taken to a&e where he was seen by the doctor.

The essence of all this is whenever I had a contact with the hospiatl people for any of my problem what I ahve found that they never dismiss your concerns and try to do what ever they can to put you at ease and your mind at rest.this is really appreciating and I got to words to praise and accoknowlege the efforts of each and every member of nursing and medical team at the hospital. I am really thankful from the depth of my heart.
