(as a staff member posting for a carer/relative),

I know I can go to any of the staff workers and they would support me or mum with any problems or insecurities we would have about day care. They care for mum as they would their own mum and that means a lot.

Day care is a warm and friendly environment. It's a pleasure to arrive and see the staff smiling and pleased to see us.

The staff are friendly and welcoming on arrival. They assist mum straight away and make her feel included in all their decisions and activities.

Amanda is very helpful and would go that extra mile to make sure everyone is happy and content. She's always there encouraging service users to make the most of their day and planning activities which everyone enjoys. It's a fantastic service, only wish it was open at weekends.

Dear wend 12,

Many thanks for taking the time to get in touch with us about the experiences that you have with regards to day services in North Ayrshire.

It is good to hear that the service is meeting the needs of those that we support and as you will know, the users of the service were fully involved in the design stage of the project which took place over the last few years.

We have a vision that we can consider opening with more flexible hours, including weekends, being introduced and Amanda and the staff will of course, keep everyone up to date as developments are progressed.

I will make a point of passing on your kind comments to Amanda and the rest of the staff.
