What I liked
The staff at all grades from consultant to cleaner were wonderful and paid individual attention to me at a time of considerable stress to me caused by the injury to my partner and considerable stress to the system when trauma cases soared in the bad weather.
What could be improved
Reliability of lifts. Signage is inconsistent and discontinuous. Zonal signs need more frequently to be supplemented with hospital directories. Staircases - which I prefer to lifts are difficult to find. Lack of drinks machines in new wing due I believe to some misguided H & S ruling. Tea and coffee need to be much more readily available.
Anything else?
Overall a remarkably good experience. My partner was admitted via A & E at a time of extraordinarily high workload for all. The ward (D6) and bed were of very high quality.
