"Careless treatment from Rheumatology Department"

About: Guy's Hospital

I have been trying to sort my drugs out for several months now.

It has become very distressing, and my condition has worsened.

I was unable to get a blood test due to a foot operation, and my injections were stopped without anyone bothering to inform me.

After months of calls, I am still no further forward.

There is a helpline, which is supposed to be answered within three days, this did not happen.

Myself, my son and my GP, have contacted the department on several occasions. My GP, has, in fact, emailed, faxed and phoned, several times.

I am still waiting for my drugs.

This department is inefficient and lackadaisical, and I do not deserve to be treated in such a manner, I am at the end of my tether with them.

Christine, I'm sorry to hear of the trouble you (and your GP) are having with your prescription. I'd be happy to ask the Head of Nursing for Rheumatology and the Service Manager to look into what has happened and try and sort it out. If you'd like to give me a call on 020 7188 3733 or send me an email with a few more details (your surname and date of birth, or hospital number if you have it) I'll take your concerns forward. My email address is beth.wilcox@gstt.nhs.uk
