"Surgical team were superb but the aftercare was a culture shock"

(as the patient),

The surgical team were superb. However in my opinion the after care on the ward was a disgrace. The nurses I saw seemed to be always busy doing nothing until it came to gossipping, this was a culture shock to previous surgery in the old Walton hospital, with the exception of an elderly Irish nurse who had not forgotten what nursing is supposed to be about
