I wanted to say a huge thankyou to the ambulance transport service for taking me to Cosham hospital and bringing me back home last Friday. Had it not been for the ambulance crew I would not have had my x-ray taken resulting in delays and further hospital visits.
The ambulance crew that took me to the hospital was excellent, very friendly and attentive. However, the crew who brought me back, Malcolm and Sophie, went that extra mile. They came to collect me from the X-ray department where I was waiting to be seen, however, I could not get on and off the bench where the x-ray would be taken without help as I am in a wheelchair. The radiographer said she was unable to help and that she would rearrange an appointment at Southmead Hospital where someone would be able to help. I was disappointed as this would mean another hospital trip and a further delay in x-rays. The ambulance crew, realizing what was going on stepped in and said they would help me so that the x-rays could be taken if I was happy with that arrangement.
I was more than happy! The x-rays were taken and I was then taken home. Without Malcolm and Sophie’s help this would not have been possible.
