"Amazing care"

About: Basildon University Hospital

I gave birth to my 2nd child in September and I was completely overwhelmed by the care and attention I received from everyone in the Willow ward. Even a midwife who had ended their shift stopped at the entrance to ask me if I was ok and needed help with anything. I was kept well informed of what to expect and was regularly asked how I wished to proceed with each stage of the labour. The midwives present at the birth made me feel secure, relaxed and confident.

I had to return to the hospital a week later due to some complications and the midwives in the Cedar Ward were also so lovely and helpful. As well as health issues I was having problems breastfeeding and was ready to give up. Every midwife I saw helped me out so much that just in a day I was 100 times more confident about breastfeeding my baby. I haven't looked back since.

I want to say thank you so much for making this an ever better experience for me.
